The Ares product group developed by NERO INDUSTRY features advanced fire suppression and explosion suppression systems designed to protect armored vehicles from a wide range of threats. These systems are capable of mitigating the impact of unguided antitank attacks, mine explosions, inflammable and caustic hazardous materials, liquid fuel fires, RPGs (RPG 6, RPG 7, etc.), antitank missiles (ATMs), or any other heavy armor-piercing ammunition.

Ares fire suppression systems utilize UV-IR optical sensors that can detect threats in less than 3 milliseconds. Upon detection, control units activate within 6 milliseconds, engaging the extinguishing cylinders in under 7 milliseconds. These rapid response times allow the system to suppress fires in less than 250 milliseconds. The Ares systems meet all the conditions described in NATO’s Stanag 4317 standard, and all qualification tests are conducted at NATO Level 4 standard in collaboration with the customer.

The Pyrex fire extinguishing cylinders, an integral part of the Ares fire suppression systems, eliminate high temperatures of up to 2000 degrees Celsius and the pressure generated by explosions within the armored vehicle using the refrigerant HFC 227EA (FM-200) gas. These extinguishing tubes operate at a working pressure of 42 BAR and prevent loss of life and property by neutralizing high temperature and pressure through their cooling gas feature.

Additionally, the NAFEG Aerosol Extinguisher is designed to extinguish and neutralize A-type (solid fuel), B-type (liquid fuel), C-type (gas fuel) fires, and E-type (electrical) fires in enclosed volumes. These aerosol extinguishers quickly detect and suppress the source of the fire, preventing its spread and ensuring effective fire control.
