UMAY DC-8 is designed to control and deploy smoke grenades for vehicle concealment and threat response. By supporting both simultaneous and sectional firing modes, the control unit allows operators to generate directional smoke coverage tailored to operational conditions and threat orientation.
The control unit is deployed on military vehicles, law enforcement platforms, and tactical security vehicles equipped with smoke grenade launcher systems. It is suitable for operations requiring rapid response, vehicle protection, and coordinated smoke deployment under harsh environmental conditions.
UMAY DC-8 can control up to sixteen smoke grenades positioned around the vehicle. Grenades may be launched simultaneously or sectionally from left-front, right-front, left-rear, and right-rear vehicle sections, enabling directional smoke deployment.
The unit features a compact design with a simple and intuitive user interface to support fast operation under stress. Built-In Test (BIT) functionality enables system diagnostics and readiness verification. The control unit supports management of two different types of smoke grenades.
UMAY DC-8 communicates with other onboard systems through CAN-BUS, RS422, RS232, and Fast Ethernet interfaces. It operates on a 24 VDC nominal power supply (16–32 V range) and is housed in an IP67-rated enclosure for protection against dust and water ingress.
UMAY DC-8 is designed and tested in accordance with the following standards:
The unit also holds UL, CE, and GOST-R certifications, confirming compliance with international quality and safety requirements.
UMAY DC-8 functions as the central control and firing interface for high-capacity smoke grenade launcher systems. By enabling sectional and full-coverage smoke deployment, system diagnostics, and integration with vehicle electronics, the unit enhances vehicle survivability and operational effectiveness during military and public order operations.
Developed by Nero Endustries, UMAY DC-8 provides a reliable and flexible control solution for modern smoke grenade launcher systems.
