Concentration Test Kit

PRODUCT CODE: ENGNZL-B

The Concentration Test Kit is a specialized test equipment developed to measure the gas concentration formed after the activation of in-vehicle fire suppression and explosion suppression systems. The test is conducted based on the concentration test defined in NATO STANAG 4317, section 4.4.3, and in accordance with the HFC227ea reference values specified under NFPA 2001.

Concentration Test Kit

This test kit is used to determine whether vehicle occupants may be affected by the extinguishing agent when the fire suppression system is activated. By measuring the gas concentration inside the vehicle, it identifies whether safe exposure limits for human health are exceeded and verifies operational safety.

Deployment Areas

The Concentration Test Kit is used in verification tests of fire suppression and explosion suppression systems installed in military vehicles and enclosed compartments. It is applied in system acceptance tests, design verification activities, and all platforms where personnel safety assessment is required.

Structure / Configuration / Technical Specifications

During testing, measurements are taken via sensors placed at a minimum of three and a maximum of ten different locations inside the vehicle prior to cylinder discharge. Following discharge, the sensors collect averaged data over a 30-second sampling period and a total measurement duration of 5 minutes. Using a light intensity–based measurement method, the gas concentration at the sensor location is determined. The system is configured to perform simultaneous measurements at multiple points.

Test Standards

The concentration test is conducted in accordance with NATO STANAG 4317, section 4.4.3. During measurement and evaluation, the HFC227ea concentration limits defined in NFPA 2001 are taken as reference. This ensures that test results are assessed in compliance with international military and fire safety standards.

Functional Role

The Concentration Test Kit enables analysis not only of the fire suppression capability of systems but also of their potential effects on personnel. The data obtained contributes to system design validation, documentation of safety levels, and reduction of operational risks. This kit is a critical verification tool for personnel safety–focused fire suppression systems.
