Nozzle

Nozzle
Fire suppression systems require precise and controlled agent discharge to ensure effective fire mitigation in critical environments. The Fire Extinguishing Nozzle is a precision-engineered discharge component designed for tactical and industrial fire extinguishing systems. It enables controlled and directional dispersion of suppression agents, ensuring reliable performance under mission-critical and harsh field conditions.
Nozzle
The Fire Extinguishing Nozzle is designed to deliver suppression agents in a controlled spray pattern, allowing localized or wide-angle coverage depending on system requirements. Its engineered internal structure ensures stable flow characteristics and uniform particle distribution during discharge.
The nozzle plays a critical role in directing extinguishing agents accurately to the target area, supporting effective fire suppression in enclosed spaces and exposed compartments.
Design and Construction
The nozzle is manufactured using corrosion-resistant materials, including AISI 304 stainless steel or brass alloy, providing durability and long-term reliability in demanding operational environments. A natural corrosion-resistant surface finish enhances resistance to environmental exposure.
A mechanical alignment indicator arrow supports correct orientation during installation, ensuring the intended spray pattern and coverage angle are achieved.
Operational Capabilities
The Fire Extinguishing Nozzle is optimized for both portable and onboard fire extinguishing systems. It supports rapid agent discharge and is designed to maintain structural integrity under shock and vibration.
Depending on the model, the nozzle provides spray pattern viewing angles ranging from 90° to 180°, allowing flexible system configuration for different fire suppression scenarios.
Technical Characteristics
The nozzle is available with internal orifice diameters of 5 mm (standard) and 6 mm (optional). Nominal flow rates range between 50 and 60 liters per minute when used with water or compatible extinguishing agents.
With a unit mass of approximately 20 grams, the nozzle offers lightweight integration without adding unnecessary load to the system. It is suitable for operation in harsh field environments where reliability is essential.
Model Variants and Spray Patterns
The Fire Extinguishing Nozzle is available in multiple model configurations to support different spray angles and discharge types. Fog cone and full cone spray patterns are offered with viewing angles of 90°, 120°, 150°, and 180°, depending on the selected model.
Special configurations are also available for engine and tire applications, utilizing aluminum construction with a 3/8″ (9.525 mm) connection and full cone spray at 120°.
Application Areas
The Fire Extinguishing Nozzle is used in a wide range of defense and industrial fire suppression applications, including armored and tactical vehicle fire suppression systems, military facility protection equipment, naval and aerospace support extinguishing canisters, asset and ammunition compartment protection, and engine bay or enclosed-space fire mitigation systems.
Contribution to Fire Suppression Performance
By ensuring controlled dispersion, uniform distribution, and reliable discharge of suppression agents, the Fire Extinguishing Nozzle contributes directly to the effectiveness of fire suppression systems. Its robust design and flexible spray configurations make it a critical component in systems where precision and reliability are required under demanding operational conditions.
